The North Fork Designer Show House Committee produces beautiful events benefiting our poorest and most at-risk neighbors.
Seven friends – Melissa Buckley, Kate DiGregorio, Nick Ellis, Christine Kosmynka, Barbara and Tom McAdam and Bob Tapp – brainstormed to create a new event with an emphasis on beauty, local talent and charity. Our endeavors were affirmed last year by 3500 tour goers, and the Suffolk Times who honored us with Community Leaders of the Year award. We raised almost $75,000 and gave it all away to charity.
27150 Main Rd. Cutchogue, Long Island, NY, next to the Village Green. We are in the manse of the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church, an historic house built in 1835 and the home of the church’s ministers and their families since 1850. The church has partnered with us to provide a venue that supports local charities and considers it a vital part of their mission. In addition to new designers in the manse, our upcoming show includes decorative vignettes in the garden and the large 19thC barn and outbuildings of our next door neighbor, Jessica Lee.
We produced our first designer show house in August, 2014. We followed it with Christmas at the Show House and Best of North Fork Emporium in December, 2014. Following these successes, our second designer show house is currently running and runs through September 6, 2015.
